Data and methodology
Real GDP growth is measured as the annual percentage change.
Inflation in the chart represents year-end consumer-price inflation
for consistency with the IMF's medium-term macroeconomic framework.
Public debt refers to public and publicly guaranteed debt as a
percentage of GDP. The fiscal balance refers to the nonfinancial
public sector (NFPS) overall balance, rather than the central
government balance alone.
The current account balance includes transactions in goods,
services, primary income, and secondary income. Remittances and
changes in export prices are important influences on Honduras'
external accounts.
Gross international reserves are expressed in US dollars.
Nominal GDP is expressed in current US dollars.
GDP per capita is expressed in current US dollars. Values for
2023–2025 are World Bank historical observations. The 2026 figure
is an indicative estimate, not an observed World Bank value.
Unemployment uses the World Bank modeled ILO estimate series.
The 2025 observation is the latest displayed World Bank value.
No 2026 unemployment projection is included.
Net FDI is expressed as a percentage of GDP. The chart is left
blank until a consistent annual net FDI series has been verified.
This avoids confusing net FDI with gross inflows or the total
stock of foreign investment.
2026 figures are projections or indicative estimates, not final
observed outcomes. Historical figures may be revised by national
authorities, the IMF, and the World Bank.
